This thread is so true, I don't understand how Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton can form there lips to even call themselves "Civil Rights Leaders" when there political agendas consist of nothing but getting involved in issues that either don't concern African-Americans in the least or just blantantly trying to berate other African American icons for their own political gains. We have no civil rights leaders, we have no real minority support groups, the NAACP is a joke and a group of house n**** con-artist that won't offer their services to anyone without a membership (which is pathetically similar to joining a country club, I guess you automatically get a Gold membership for geting your ass whooped by the police instead of paying $2,000 a year seeing as the publicity pays for the admission). Obama is a breathe of fresh air and not on the biasis basis that he is black but for the simple reason that when he speaks he actually has something to say. Jesse Jackson is a master at circumventing important issues and making hollow promises with nothing to support his claims but his political affiliations in the past. Jesse and Al will never ascend above the persona of a "Crooked Preacher" because that's all they are and always have been.

Nice. And your screen name is killing me!(smiles) When I see Jessie and Al I see that cartoon character with the black face, pink lips, and bone in hair. They are embarrassing. In time of crisis when race is a factor, eyes roll because whites know the stage is set for a good 'ol fashion show. Poor imitations of Rev. King. Again, King did it for all people not just himself. I'm embarrased to say I'm from Texas when I think about Shelia Jackson- Lees' dumbass views. Most blacks in power are just as crooked as the whites and are willing to roll over so they can lobby for what they want which most of time is not to the benefit of us. Sad.

Yeah, I think it's jealously too! One thing is for sure, some of us blacks confuse leadership from people who care enough to try and make us better with selling out or talking down to us. The way I see it, the best way to be told is by one of us and they must think we have what it takes to be better or else they wouldn't push us to be better, ya dig?lol
