Is it me, or does Jesse need to sit his ass down? I don't buy his 'I'm sorry' because he is not. Someone should cut his nuts off. To me, him and Sharpton have strayed so far away from what Dr.King marched for. King was not out for self, but for all people. These dude see any act as a chance to get shine and further their own political agendas.
Jesse jackson feels that Obama 'talked down to black people'. I'm black. I have other stuff mixed in, but I black. I have never been offended by anything Obama has had to say.
I honestly feel that Jesse is salty because he never got this far in his campaign. He never got the the nomination. Jesse Jackson stood(after once again saying he marched with King) and call the city of New York "Himey- Town" because of its Jews and lost by a damn landslide! Put this on two scales: Obama getting at us about us................Jesse jackson using racial slur and offending large amounts of people. I would Jessse was far worse.
If he was to cut Obama's nuts off, what would he do, sew them onto himself? Obama has hit people where it hurt and connected with them on a level that Jesse never did. This is why he is upset. Don't get me wrong, Obama was not my first choice (neither was Hillary). At this point, he is the best choice. What do you think, or do you not care that a black leader (who is supposed to be for ALL of us) bashed his own? Curious. Some people don't care and some do.
ohhhhhhh it was him who said that he's just hating because he could never get as far in politics as Obama has in the small amount of time Obama has had to flourish in Washington
jesse has done nothing his whole career but act like he is a savior cause he had dr kings blood on his shirt...dude is simply hating on Barack..it no other way to explain it...hate
First of all i would like to say its great seeing a post that is actually relevant in our lives, because how much someone sold im sad to say isnt. So much of what you said made me feel like i wrote the s*** cause its how ive felt for a long time. Sharpton and Jackson have been cancers to our community for so long even though theyre suppose to represent OUR interests and defending OUR rights, get the f*** out of here. I was only a kid back in the late 80s when the whole Tawana Brawley case dominated the media so wasnt to sure of what was happening but was informed that the whole thing was a hoax that helped propel Sharpton into the spotlight of ''activist''. This new remark by our boy Jesse could be one of the best things to happen for the Obama campaign because it further seperates him from any agenda of Jacksons that may have had some Whites skeptical about voting for a Black man . As Jackson becomes older and more bitter at the fact of his increasing irrelevancy, we can expect some more future soundbites from him in a last ditch effort to have a camera in front of him. Who was your first choice if u dont mind me askin? And again thanks for a thought provoking topic in a forum polluted by 98% b*******.
You are welcome. I was hoping I would get someone with thoughts. I actually was going for John Edwards. I was sad when he dropped out. I think he has the experience and knowledge about economics that Obama doesn't have. At the same time he lacks the ability to connect with people like Obama. I was hoping Obama would choose him as a running mate but I don't think he's even a front runner. Who knows? Once he ducked out, I knew I would go for Obama. I think it was sad people were voting for Hillary for things Bill did. The two are not the same. She is a phony. The fact that she is with him now speaks volumes. I believe she only stayed with him after Monica was because she knew she had designs to run for office. I could be wrong though. Thanks for your interest.
i agree with the whole hillary is phony statement...
lol..i thought it was just me..but i really dont believe her...
i cant lie..it would have been interesting to have a female commander in chief....
i was with obama from day 1 (honestly first and foremost , because he's black)
but then i saw how he connected with EVERYONE! white , black, and hispanic alike..
then watching the debates , i saw he was very competent, intelligent and had a lot of positive energy, and he seemed sincere about turning the country around...
i think he is definitley salty because his chances of becoming our nation's "first black president" was smashed to pieces quite some time ago...he probably figured in his mind that if he...the same man who ran with M.L.K cant win..no black man can...america just wont let it happen...
its funny how hate transpires thru all genres and walks of life...
Jealous ones envy, its sad that Jess is so bitter that he would come out of his face wit that b*******, like u said since he never got no where close to the poisition that he is in he's poutin and actin like a 2 year old....... Great Post MerryJ
That s*** could've been jealousy on Jesses part but at the same time if that's his opinion of Obamas speech then I think he got the right to it even if I did'nt agree or was'nt offended...it's ok. if he was for whatever reason. I mean he ain't call'em a b**** or nothin'...and thanx for posting this comment.
My question is when Bill Cosby was going hard at all black people where in the hell was Jessie Jackson then? Bill got waaay out of character with some of the things he was saying. You don't air your dirty laundry in a public forum, that's family BI. How about making a hefty donation (you worth 500 millie) or creating a show that really connects with us and tackles some of the very issues you say your concerned about. Cosby show was great but one thing it wasn't was real. Thio never had to run his pockets, they never address racism, sexism. Even though I would have loved to sex up Felica Rashad and her sister too. To be honest, Bill was absolutly right though, and so is Obama. My mother always told me it's not what you say it's how you say it, and in this case Obama used tact instead of putting us on blast. What's funny is black people really don't get it. It's called divide and conqure, Jessie says that BS to shave off votes from Obama. Is he a hater? "YES"! In all actuallity do you think he meant what he said "NO". As Fifty would say it's chess not checkers, but as I would say when the games over the King and the pond go back in the same box. It's so many people that don't want to see a black president it's rediculious. I think he was told to do that by the powers that be. He gets his 15 mins Obama looses 15,000 disinfranchised blacks.
To make matters worse if you didn't know you heard it hear first. It's very likely that he will get the nod come Nov but how long do you think that will last? He won't make it through 2 summers. He will be another slain great black leader. I think he knows it too. The tension in the atmosphere grows thicker each week. I'm just waiting for that pop sound to put us right back in the footprints of our grand parents when Malcom and Martin were assinated. Then what will we do Rally or Riot? I say both but not in the traditional sense.
On the bright side he is cementing the fact that a Black man will be president one day. He is an inspration to a whole new generation. I think that's the change he was truly meant to bring about. So in closing, right fist in the air "YES WE CAN"
Easy
P.S.
