TRUE STORY
My moms was a widow with 4 kids in the states and 3 out of the US (in Haiti & Bahamas) when I was 9. She hustled her ass with 3 jobs ... there were times when we never even saw the woman. I used to get embarrassed by using food stamps and s*** until i noticed everyone else was using it. Besides, we received help from my family members who sold drugs but you never saw it at all or saw them in action back then. Even back then we realized that sometimes you have to sacrifice just to ensue that the next one up will have a better chance at life than you did but most people don't, can't & won't understand it because their not in your shoes . No matter how the money was made we were never embarrassed... like too $hort says you should be gettin it. That money helped alot of people get through college to become lawyers, nurses, accountants, ect. It's hard to get a decent job with a degree and even more difficult with a felony. This worked for someone I know but every case is different -- you can try it anyways. My cousin had a felony on her record and went to nursing school. she told the state board of nursing directors her situation and how she got the felony and explained to them how she wanted to change her life for the better by helping others. After reviewing it, they approved her license. What I can say is that I don't know how exactly you're struggling but I can share it with you. F*** everybody else and what they think cause niggas gonna always want to see you struggle and held back. Be very carefully! I understand that hustlin is your means now but god forbid you get arrested - what good are you going to be for your kids behind bars? Believe me there's always an alternative even if you have to do it legitamitely. No knock on your hustle cause when doctors and pharmacists and vets sell drugs illegally (white collard crimes) the sentence is not as harsh as what a regular street dealer would get. it goes back to the old adage CRACK VS COCAINE. You can try careers as a social worker, motivational speaker, or even in law enforcement. Like I said, there are other options but you just have to look and it's not going to be easy either.

im mum and dad to a wonderful 15 yr old daughter and i will do anything it takes to make sure she does not end up like me working all the time for next to nothing . I make sure she knows there are consequences to everything you do in life so play hard but work harder and hopefully life will be good to you ,but if your careless then life is a b**** so to who ever started this topic i would say live your life to the fullest but make sure your children know there are diffrent options in life.Good luck for the future.
