i think MTV does it based on how many songs each rapper has on the radio or tv and or how many magazine covers. just the popularity of the rapper. my top 10 rappers who are alive....

Jay Z is not all of that. Neither is Kanye West. You seem like a 50 hater. Everybody else on the list could stay. I would add NAS , 50 , Busta, DMX, Banks and a lot of others.
