people wil say hip hop is dead because they say the music don't have a meanin now but i say hip hop is more alive now more deen it ever was more artist have there own label or movin out to new parts of hip hop thing like clothed lines video game and more hip hop is more reconize now all around the world because of guy run dmc, krs.one, rakim, just name some but i think hip hop is more alive bacause of the new generation guy like lil wayne,t.i,jay-z just to name some.
Hip-Hop is not dead bye far.M.c's are not doing hip-hop anymore. These stupid ass dudes thinking there hot is killing hip-hop.Let's be real in all we do that means music and hip-hop will live on. ONE;P-Tek
I wouldn't go as far to say that HipHop is dead but something is really wrong with the culture when a teenager feels obligated to commit crimes JUST SO he can gain streetcredibility inorder for him/her to feel qualified to become a rapper. That's when you know that those against the culture have gotten the best out of us. I also notice that HipIop lacks love for the black struggle. It seems almost like promoting black on black violence is a norm in HipHop nowadays. Ever since Tupac died, I haven't heard any famous, succesful rapper talk against the system that is killin gus, instead everybody is pretending to be CEO this, corporate that, to fill the pockets of the same white established companies that have been using us for centuries. It seems like making money forself justifies culture-suicide. Even black youth here in Netherlands are calling eachother n***** now. They do this because the rappers have so much influence on them that they wish to emmulate the rappers in all forms.
HIP HOP ISN'T DEAD....."OLD HIP-HOP" IS DEAD!!!!....EVERY OTHER GENRE PROGRESSES AND MOVES FORWARD......FROM ROCK TO METAL TO PUNK TO EVEN COUNTRY MUSIC ALL HAVE PROGRESSED AND RE-PACKAGED ITSELF (SO TO SPEAK)............AND HIP-HOP HAS DONE THE SAME.......THE SAME WAY THAT METALLICA AND GUNS N ROSES HAVE FADED AWAY IN THE ROCK GENRE TO MAKE WAY FOR THE NEW ROCK ACTS IS THE SAME WAY THAT OLD SCHOOL HIP-HOP HAS FADED AWAY(BIG DADDY KANE, RAKIM, LL COOL J, TO EVEN NAS & WU-TANG) TO MAKE ROOM FOR THE NEW ACTS............I THINK THE MAIN PEOPLE HATING ON THE NEW ACTS IN HIP-HOP IS ALL THE PEOPLE THAT DONT WANT TO LET GO OF THE 80' & 90'S(& PRETTY SOON THEY'LL BE THE 40, 50 YEAR OLD GUY IN THE BACK OF THE ROOM SAYING "IN MY DAYS MUSIC WAS REAL")............LOL..............WHO CARES ANYWAY.......IF SOLDIER BOY IS MAKING MONEY FOR HIM-SELF,....WHY HATE????.........HE'S A MINORITY.......EVERYONE SHOULD BE PROUD FOR THE HOMIE..........BOTTOM LINE.......RAP & HIP-HOP IS A YOUNG PEOPLES MUSIC AND IF THE YOUNG PEOPLE OF TODAY CHOOSE TO FOLLOW ACTS LIKE SOLDIER BOY, HURRICANE CRIS AND LIL BOOSIE ----LET EM HAVE IT THEIR WAY......----"JUST MY 2 CENTS"
Hip hop is not dead if anything hip hop is going back to what it used to be in the beginning. Remember the 1st official hip hop video was about partying, dressing silly & having lyrics that don't has no substance. Think about the Sugar Hill Gang rappers delight here's some of the lyrics from that song:
I said a hip hop
the hippie the hippie
to the hip hip hop, a you don't stop the rock it
to the bang bang boogie, say up jumped the boogie
to the rhythm of the boogie, the beat
What in the blue hell do that mean???
That song was in '79, The message wasn't made until '82, Rakim didn't come until '87.
So this no dialog having, shake your ass, dress silly music We've been hearing lately is the true essence of hip hop. Hip hop with a message is dead.
It's blasphemy. Same as gag-me. Why this is looked up to is beyond me.
Think Lucifer is going to win? Keep thinking that way.....you may be in for a BIG sooprise!
