A Good rapper is just that, a good rapper. Now if your looking for an Artist , that's were I come in. I make songs, great hooks and I'm marketable.

SH*T RAPPERS BEEN GOT GHOSTWRITERS & ORIGINALITY IS ONLY NEEDED CAUSE SAMPLE CLEARENCE IS EXPENSIVE AND NEW JACK EMCEES DONT GET PAID CHEDDAR LIKE THAT AT FIRST...OTHER THAN THAT YOU WANNA TRY TO GET SIGNED BUILD A BUZZ LOCAL. Good Product
Ambition
Good Team
Motivation
and Money

all they need is a distrubution deal to reach those other fans...

Perfect examples of NEW original artists are:

CLIPSE
SMALL WORLD
SOULJA BOY (mostly benefited from a good marketing plan)
CHAMILLIONAIRE
LUPE FIASCO (unique lyrical delivery)

these people all bring something different to the game

I agree the problem is finding a great artist ....thats because rappers get lazy...how hard is it lay down a song, i do that all day sometimes...i hear peoplep talk about sessions in the studio where theyve only recorded one sone a session and think thats hard work..on a bad day i do 5 to 10 joints..i have music on my page check it out...if you think im hot put me on blast, if u think im wack let me know...

It takes a very dedicated artist to get a great record deal cause that person is gonna have to deal with ups and downs,
critisizem and having to keep making music that are hits through all that other b******* an artist has to go through. So it's a many things more than one that it take's to get signed. First impression will make or break your career as an upcoming artist that's why if u are new coming into this game you have to be aware of past artists who have won and others who have fell off and train yourself to be diligent and to keep relevant and like able in order to make your time in the industry count!
