well you know.. most latin cats grow up with us... and they are used to hearing and being called it... so they use it... i dont really take offence when it comes from latins... however... may i ask you.. do you say it... if we are going to say that latins cant say it.. then maybe we need to stop saying it ourselves...... and stop staying it to them... if you want that word to be black only... then that might just be you my friend.... its too many latins in our same hood .... doing the same hood stuff that we do.. living the way we do... man its really too much to type.. but we cant come down on joe for saying that just because he is beefing with 50 or anything like that.. man im from gary indiana.. and all the latins out here and in chicago and other places like that... are killed n****... and call eachother n****.. and same goes for blacks.. i dont know what else to say pimp

good point i do say it and i don't even trip when whites or ricans say it. It was just something that i thought of what is the derogatory term for ricans?

naw its a good discussion, and what people are sayin is the s*** doesnt matter because latin people grew up right next to black same hard s***, went thru the same thing, thats what most people are sayin.. so on that same note does that make it ok for someone like eminem to say it...

just so you know i dont think em should say that s***, he should respect what he represents, but im just pointing out that yall have to come up with a better answer than "they grew up togeather" to justify it.

If you think about it, Puerto Rican are just as Black as the first enslaved African and Taino Indian from the Caribbean. So, we share the same oppressor and similarities of the struggle... I wouldn't make a big deal about our Puerto Rican brothas and sistas.

Yo, I know we have a lot of white cats living in the hood assimilating but that not a reason to give a ghetto pass for everything. Do remember how Emcee Search disciplined Persia on "White Rapper Show." We don't care for our history and become very passive with all other cultures trying to do us better that us. No disrespect brother, just lookiin for a little clarity on your reply. The criteria you laid out with regards to latins (or maybe the insinuation that was made) was that because there are so many in tha same hood and doin tha same stuff (etc.) was that it's not a big deal. Point taken. Now, Prettyboy made a statement about Eminem. He might have grown up in the same envirnoment Joey did. In fact, not only myself, but hundreds of thousands of white folks around tha country grow up in predominantly black neighborhoods. Should the same logic apply to them or myself? Just wonderin', for the sake of bein' fair across tha board. I've got my own opinions on this issue, but won't bore ya with 'em unless asked. Keep grindin' homeboy.
