The people saying who they think is the best freestyler is making me sad you know f****** wit my emotions ...

I dont know when the rules changed up but when I was beating on lunch tables 30 years ago (just kidding) freestyling was coming up wit s*** right then and there.

Comin off was a must or the crowd would be like na that wasnt fly B so at most youd have the last phrase or punchline you'd save a few of those so you could say relevent s*** and end wit an ill line.

Now I feel you can especially for rap battles have ya s*** memorized so it is tight but not in song form (thus the word free in it)

KRS One once defined freestyle as a rap that was not published on a record. I think its a little unrealistic to think every rapper will be able to come up with battle winning rhymes at the moment in a battle. If you can come up wit some slick s*** offda offda top of the head head head that puts you in classic B boy status. Translating that to a record .... well Jay Z, Biggie, Naz come to mind.

Some I like Breeze ever flowin omg he won a mc battle and it was all off the head or s*** he had the whole crowd feelin it was cause he used s*** that happened that night. Like Proof being beat by a girl (I would love to have a copy of that tape that was one of the best battles ever for me) she wasnt better than him she just hit one of those ill lines right as the music went off and she came off.
