In an effort to promote his "Street LP" War Angel, New York rapper 50 Cent stopped by to chop it up with Hot 97's Funk Master Flex.
During the brief interview Fif spoke on the situation with former Bad Boy/G-Unit artist Mase, the Joe Budden Vs. Method Man fiasco, the death of Auto-tune, and more.
On Mase:
"Puff was like, you know if you go in Cartier and pick up a watch--they'd be like go ahead..take it out. As long as they know where to send the invoice, they don't need any money as a transaction. He said that's what he thought I was doing with Mase. So he's gonna tell me give him $2 million for mase. Jimmy [Iovine] is sitting there and Jimmy's like.."Mase isn't worth $2 million with $2 million in his pocket."
On Auto-Tune:
"It's D.O.A.--It's just kinda crazy now, it's a lil over-saturated. It's time for us to get back to doing what we do."
On Joe Budden Vs. Method Man:
"I didn't understand that. I didn't understand how he was even in comparison to Method Man. I don't think they're even in the same bracket. I don't think he can be compared to Method Man. His music--Meth had music that was hands down the hottest music in it's time period. At that point, there was nothing really out there that was matching that--that was IT at that point.
Until you get the IT moment..you can't even compare."
