50 aint on my top 10 of all times either..(and by the way i was born in 91).he's good,but not on the 2 Pac-BIG level...such legendary rappers should be on a top 10 in my opinion...& people who put 50 in their top 5 or top 10,its their opinion...this is thisis50 anyway....

but seriously man,WHAT is lil wayne doin up there????i agree with a big part of yr list,but when i got to lil wayne.....come on,u cant be serious....

But the thing that you aren't considering with 50 being one of the greats is his IMPACT ON THE GAME.

From your point of view, you say he made a few hits and that's why people say he's Top 10 or 5. But listen to why I say that he's one of the best to ever do it.

1.) 50 Cent came out and had the highest selling debut album of ANY rapper period. Next to Alanis Morissette, 50 has the highest selling debut album of ALL TIME. That is a fact. Look it up. This alone makes him legendary. And don't say it was because of Em and Dre. Because Obie Trice didn't come close to 50's numbers. AND Obie's second album was incredible.

2.) As soon as 50 came out, he opened his own label and his crew instantly became the dream team of rap. G-Unit Album = 4x Platinum Buck = 2x Platinum, Banks = 4x Platinum, Game = 6x Platinum, Yayo = 1x Platinum (took a while but he's there)

3.)50's second album The Massacre solidified him as a superstar = 10x Platinum

4.) G-Unit Clothing had a solid run for about 3 years

5.) The business decisions he has made over the years that have his massive wealth up there with Diddy and Jay Z. The man is worth close to HALF A BILLION and made it all in less than 5 years in the game; or HALF as long as it took Jay Z and Diddy to do it.

6.) This is the most important one to me; the reason I think he's one of the best to ever do it; HIS MIXTAPE GAME. SO many legendary and classic mixtapes. So much consistency. If you've been keeping track, you already know and I don't have to say anything else. Jay, Nas, Rakim, none of them been putting out whole track listings of album quality material FOR FREE like Fif does.

That, to me seperates 50 from the rest. His sales and popularity may have taken a dive, but the quality of his music has NEVER gone that direction. Curtis was his worst effort, I will admit, BUT if he didn't keep that Pussycat Dolls song, Ayo Technology, and that Peep Show with Eminem on there (the songs strictly for the white girls), you have a great gangsta rap album that wasn't marketed properly.

But even when Curtis dropped and he lost to Kanye, he rebounded quick and dropped 3 mixtapes that blew the lids off most albums to drop in the next year. And now we're geared up for Before I Self Destruct, AND it's movie. His reality TV show. His video game. And his book.

Considering everything I touched on above, the man's power and influence on the game is undeniable. 50 Cent is the rapper that EVERY rapper wants to be like. What else is there for him to accomplish? The real question is; how is this man NOT considered one of the best?

I can keep going without ever putting Lil Wayne in the group. My dude 50, shut down people careers so I can't hate on him for that. Yet alone he is like a mixtape God. Dude is mad sick. There has been no one to come close to what that man has done in a spand of a five year period.

realistically I was born in 83 so I can say I grew up listening to the real music from the 90s and 50 is no where up in the top 10.
