50 Cent loses his motivation

50 CENT has admitted that he is losing interest with rap and hip-hop.
The rapper said he has lost his motivation and spoke of his dissatisfaction with the current state of that music scene.
Speaking to Billboard, he said: "What I fell in love with and inspired me to get into hip-hop is dwindling away.
"I'd like to be a representation of that, because there isn't much of that left. I think people are so conscious of the numbers they're not being creative anymore."
He also said he would only release his long-awaited album Before I Self Destruct when his Shady Records boss and producer Dr Dre feel it's ready.
He said: "I feel music marks time, and there's a lot of great music being made now that doesn't completely match the time period.
"When these guys finish mixing I'll finish making the decisions. People look at my projects as if it's only 50, but it's really 50 Cent up to Dr Dre and Eminem standards.

I've been trying to be patient with Curtis Jackson, but now I'm starting to see his B.S. for what it is. If the current music scene is messed up, than he of all people has the talent to change it or does he?. It seems to me that the only person that's being concerned about numbers is him, which is why he's trying to reach for a Hit on radio instead of going into the lab and say f** it, this is what I'm going to put out hate it or love it. Nobody is asking him to be creative, we asking for s*** that we know he can and should deliver in this time period in his career. I listen to the new A.Z. album "Legendary" which is fire to me, it presents that soulful hood street type s***. We all know A.Z. not in the streets but he's able to deliver it to us because he hasn't lost touch. 50 has lost touch with himself as an artist, therefore not being able to restablish an connection to the people like he did before.

No 50 cant change the music scene. Neither can Jay. That track wasnt all that and it wont change anything
Yall comparisons is all wrong. Fans are selfish so they only think about themselves and wat they want. Cant compare 50 to A.Z, cause A.Z dont sell. He might connect with inner city, but not the white people. 50 connects to both, so he has to please both. Some people dont care or worry bout that. But 50 is the artist here
I think the music on the album will be right. Its the singles thats not jumping out
When you have a artist thats capable of selling records, its not that easy. He not doing autotune and he's not getting on some r&B s***. atleast give it up for that. IMO he should. F*** tryna please yall complaining asses. 50 need to get back on that "banks told me cuz go head switch the style up and if they hate, then let hate, but watch the money pile up" attitude

I can beleive that last thing I heard from 50 that he actually sounded excited about was the Sincerely Yours Mixtape where he flipped the old school joints. Hopefully Em and Dre don't let him drop another b******* cd like Curtis and actually push him creatively in the studio. Last cds dude dropped that I was really feeling was The Massacre except a few songs and his songs on the Get Rich Soundtrack. The two G-unit cds cool and the mixtapes he dropped this last year s*** on Curtis. If he drop another one of those like that cd, only a handful of hot tracks and still rapping about the same s***, I'm done with dude.

how could you be losing your motivation to rap if you claim you want to be a representation of the things that inspired you to get into hip hop? if you're really REAL about your music, and a REAL rapper, that would fuel you more to produce what you feel is missing from the game. smh. wtf. why would you say some s*** like that? "i'm losing my motivation to rap", cause you aint a f***** rapper. talking about numbers, when all he does is create beef, drama, and talk s*** for publicity and always around the time an album is droppin, n that aint bein conscious of numbers??? once again, SMH. leave it to wayne, who regardless of how a hater feel, is doin somethin in the studio EVERYDAY, almost EVERY HOUR, whether you like what he do or not, he goes ALL IN. nas still went in, feeling hip hop is losing what it had before too. no excuses, either you doin it, or get the f*** out of the media.
