50 Cent Hopes To Help Change The Direction In Hip Hop With His New Album

http://twitter.com/#!/ComplexMag/status/116186140519841793

50 Cent talks about his new album...

“My album’s done. I’ve just got to go through the mixing process. I always have issues with people not moving at the pace that I move at. It’s obvious I work a lot. They don’t work as often as I do, or they’re patient. [Interscope] thinks it’s going to be better if they wait. [They think] I’m going to change my mind and switch to something different in the presentation.

“They didn’t want me to change the album. I don’t want you to take it out of context, the album’s done. What I’m saying to you is they’ll sit there and think taking your time is making it better. And I mean, you do get a chance to evaluate and see what everything else is.

“I’m confident that the music that I have will help sway hip-hop in the right way. I think [hip-hop is going] one way. Where is the aggression in hip-hop? Where is the things that you initially fell in love with? They’re not there.

"Everything cycles. Hip-hop has cycled so far back that it felt like it was something new, but it was a hipster [thing]. A new terminology that would be a hippie. It’s that far back. So when it comes time for it to come full circle, it’ll be time for me.”

fif just needs a big hit
It means artists these days are pumpin hip-pop type music as its more popular with the rest of the world. Actual grimey, ganster s*** like 2pac, get rich and back in the day joints aint out anymore. Fifs albums always are girmey, gangster, he stays in his lane, raps about dirt. In terms of selling records, the club type hip-pop joint sell more (again, more popular with the world). Most artist have moved in that direction for the money and 50 is saying that it will slowly come back to the gangster type again. Nothing wrong with making pop joints, but we always need that dirt on an album to make one feel LIVE! and that s*** motivates u to get out there and do sumthing! That was the reason why hip-hop was invente. Its like culture, it evolves over time. But the actual Religion stays the same and then you get people reppin it for what it is when others loose focus of how it started and what its about. But we all know 50's club type music, its the best. hands down. He started it, remeber 'in the club' 'candy shop' 'just a lil bit'. What was out before that? 50 set the record when that album droped (Massacre). He also kept it gangster with 'Guns come out' 'i'm suppos to die tonight' 'piggy bank'.
Dont forget gangster s*** dont come on TV screens. Its got a block on, esecially when 50 on the scene. 'Man down' (Curtis album) was heavily blocked, go read the real lyrics for it and u'll see what i mean. U think that gonna b on TV/Radio, no way! End of the day i always like them deep tracks on an album that general people aint heard because it aint been on radio. They are always the best!
Meaning... that interscope thinks the album sucks & wont release it until 50 take his a** back in the lab come with something better.. Plain & simple
^^^
Stupid!
50 needs a hardcore fan like me and a few others who can listen to all his new tracks and tell him straight up yeah 50 this joint right here nice its exactly what u need or nah 50 this track not all that dont put that on the album. i think hes just honestly confused!
that's true, 50 shouldn't listen to Interscope tho, they prolly want to make him a Lady Gaga type hip hop album
well i do agree with interscope 50 needs a updated sound almost like jay with blueprint3. Why do u think down on me was a huge hit 50 had a nice beat decent lyrics and a very catchy flow on that song. Now im not sayin a whole album of down on mes but u get the point.
I know but it's hard to judge since we basically ain't heard anything yet. Outlaw sounded outdated but I'm on it was def something new even tho it was whack. I think the album will be better than BISD, he worked with better producer etc. for this album. I really think he should let some of his fans hear the album and give him some advice on which records to scrap and which ones to pick for the album.
ROFL why would 50 need his fans 2 help him pick songs 4 his album????LOL did a fan help him pen records off his successful albums?..only niggah' that can help 50 .......is 50 DEFINATELY not his fans..
records like I'm on it show that he's confused tho, he def needs somebody to supervise the album then.
